Oven-bake or air-dry: which Klutz clay kit to pick
Both clays make charming things. They suit different kitchens and different kids.

Oven-bake clay
Used in Mini Clay World Cute Café, Make Clay Charms and Make Your Own Mini Erasers. It stays soft until baked, so a project can be left half done overnight. Baking takes a few minutes in a home oven and needs a grown-up. The result is hard, durable and takes glaze well.
Air-dry clay
Used in Air-Dry Clay Animal Party and Whipped Clay Froyo Shop. It begins to set as soon as it meets air, so keep unused clay wrapped. Nothing to bake, which makes it the pick for younger children and for travel. Give finished pieces a day to harden fully.
Our advice
If an adult is happy to run the oven, start with a Mini Clay World kit. If the maker wants to work alone from start to finish, choose air-dry.
