Who stocks the shelf

Three friends, one juggling book, 1977. We have been attaching the stuff to the instructions ever since.

How a Klutz kit gets made

  1. Somebody has an idea

Usually it starts with a material: a clay that turns into an eraser, a paint that peels.

  2. We build it, badly

The first version takes too long or falls over. That is useful.

  3. We rewrite the steps

Kids test the book. Wherever they get stuck, the page changes.

  4. The seal goes on

100% Klutz certified means it has been made, start to finish, by real hands.

What this site is for

This is our shelf: a place to see the kits side by side, sorted by age and by craft, with honest notes on what each one involves. When you choose one, the buy button opens its listing at our partner store, and the order is placed there.
